This fun track is from the super hit 90’s film ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’. Composed by Ram Lakshman, sung by melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and written by Dev Kohli, it would remind you of Toffees, Candies, Lemonade and Ice-creams, you were so fond of as a little kid. This sweet track talks about how Madhuri in the role of Nisha has ditched her loving childhood friends(the eatables), as her mind occupies someone more special.

Daawat-e-Ishq Title Song

Daawat-e-Ishq is from the movie of the same name directed by Habib Faisal. Composed by Sajid Wajid and written by Kausar Munir. You’d see Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. Other than all the rendezvous with amazing food the song is about a grand feast of love. Aditya invites Parineeti for the feast and she replies back with ‘Hai Qubool’ as she accepts the invitation. You discover words like Chashni(a sugary syrup) and Sharbat mentioned in the song. We even find Tariq or Aditya playing with vegetables on the cart. The colourful food affair ends on a sweet note with Gulrez or Parineeti tasting the Phirni decorated with pieces of Pistachio.

Cheeni Kum Title Song

‘Cheeni Kum Hai, Cheeni Kum Hai’ was heard in the Amitabh Bachchan, Tabu film ‘Cheeni Kum’. It has been composed by the well-acclaimed Illayaraja, put to words by Manoj Tapadia, Sameer and sung by our favourite Shreya Ghoshal. The movie, as well as this song, revolves around the lives of Budhadev Gupta a 64-year-old chef and owner of London’s top Indian restaurant, Spice 6 and the 34-year-old, strong willed and Independent Nina Verma played by Tabu. The track primarily speaks about the varying amounts of sugar in their sweet chemistry.

Ande ka Funda

This humorous song is from the 2001 Bollywood comedy film ‘Jodi No. 1′ starring Govinda and Sanjay Dutt. Govinda and Sanjay play the role of inseparable best friends. The music was composed by Anand Raaj Anand and Himesh Reshammiya. The lyrics were penned down by Dev Kohli, Sudhakar Sharma and Pratik Joseph. Pratik Joseph poured life into it with his outstanding singing skills. Govinda and Sanjay Dutt are seen dancing around with Monica Bedi and Twinkle Khanna with Eggs in their hands. So it’s basically a satirical song, filled up with funny terms revolving around Eggs, hens, parties, and life.

Aaj Unse Milna Hai

This sweet and soothing melody from the recent movie ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has been a favourite ever since it released. It features Sonam Kapoor as a beautiful princess in her royal best and Salman Khan as a common man. Though Salman Khan plays a double role but in this particular song he’s been shown as a typical commoner who is trying to figure out what he should buy for the regal lady who has everything. He plans to take along some sweets and snacks like Gujiya, Barfi, Mathri, Chakli-Chevda, Kaju-Kishmish etc. It has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya, Sung by the well-known singer Shaan and written by Irshad Kamil.

Main To Raaste Se Jaa Raha Tha

The track beginning with ‘Mai To Raaste Se Jaa Raha Tha, Mai To Bhelpuri Kha Raha Tha’ is a hilarious number from the 1995 comic movie ‘Coolie No. 1’, directed by the director of famous comedies David Dhawan. Happy go lucky Govinda and Karishma Kapoor can be seen frolicking around a spectacular street side location. They sing about eating Bhelpuri and Ice-cream. Music giants Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu sang it. Music directors Anand Shrivastava and Milind Shrivastava created the music and Sameer wrote the entertaining lyrics.
