Do you remember the hugely admired 1997 super hit Judwaa directed by David Dhawan? Well, it was Salman Khan who played the double role for the identical twins Prem and Raja in that movie but now we are again back with the sequel to ‘Judwaa’, about to release on the 29th of September 2017, called ‘Judwaa 2’  starring Varun Dhawan. The original ‘Judwaa’ story was inspired by Jackie Chan’s ‘Twin Dragon’ and the plot for this new movie revolves around a similar story of two twin brothers Raja and Prem, who get separated at birth after their father exposes a kingpin and his racket. They eventually come together to battle a smuggling ring and save their family from doom.

Even though there is nothing new and innovative about the songs from Judwaa 2, but you’ll surely love listening to these hugely popular tracks decked up in a brand new avatar.

Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12

Remember the favourite childhood Limerick ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12’?. This old melody is back with a bang after 2 decades. Anu Malik has returned as the composer along with Sandeep Shirodhkar, the lyrics remain the same as written by Dev Kohli but in place of Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Sushma Sreshtha, it has been sung by the remarkable Neha Kakkar and Dev Negi. New faces Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Tapsee Pannu have replaced Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor and Rambha. Varun Dhawan was seen grooving to it with the gorgeous Karishma Kapoor. It would have been great to watch Karishma dance to this new version along with Salman. We are sure you won’t be able to stop swaying to this rocking, all time favourite party number. Rating: 3/5

Oonchi Hai Building

This sounds very much like a typical commercial Bollywood number. We remember Salman asking his leading ladies, ‘Oonchi Hai Building, Lift Teri Band Hai, Kaise Mai Aaun?’ in the cult hit ‘Judwaa’, now Varun Dhawan does the same but the lyrics by Dev Kohli have somewhat been changed a bit, from ‘Aaja Aaja Raja Band Baaja Leke Aaja’ to ‘Aaja Aaja Raja Mere Swagger Vale Raja’. This Revamped version brings back the same craze as the original. While the music has been reproduced by Sandeep Shirodhkar, Anu Malik remains the composer cum singer and adds a new twist along with some new banging tunes. Neha Kakkar sings the female part and does a fantastic job at it. The picturesque locales, ace-choreographer Bosco Martin’s scintillating choreography, and Varun Dhawan’s comic antics add all the spice to this fun track. Rating: 3/5

Aa Toh Sahi

The T-series ‘Aa Toh Sahi’ video version was released on the 14th of September 2017. ‘Aa Toh Sahi’ is a fantastic composition by the brother duo Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh(Meet Bros). Sung by Meet Bros, Neha Kakkar and featuring a Rap by Roach Killa, it is a humorous combination of Hindi and Punjabi lyrics by Sonu Saggu. Even though this track is fully entertaining and sounds very much like a party anthem but there is nothing very distinctive about it. Varun Dhawan playing the role of the geeky Prem and the nerdy Raja has shot this high on glamour song at the spectacular beaches of Mauritius with Jacqueline Fernandez and Tapsee Pannu. The video showcases a hilarious situation where Alishka (Jacqueline) and Samaara (Tapsee) are completely baffled looking at the brothers Raja and Prem, however, the twins manage the situation and escape without having to reveal their identities. Rating: 3/5

Suno Ganpati Bappa Morya

This track dedicated to the destroyer of all obstacles ‘Lord Ganesha’, released during the peak of all the Ganesha Chaturthi Festivities. Varun Dhawan prays to the lord to help him get out of all his girl troubles. This was not a part of the old ‘Judwaa’ and is a new addition to this sequel. It is loaded with the dhamakedar music composed by Sajid-Wajid and the ridiculous lyrics written by Danish Sabri. Super-talented singer Amit Mishra puts lots of energy to it and takes it to an entirely different level. We don’t know whether Raja’s favourite Lord Ganesha helped him find a solution to this problem or not but Varun Dhawan completely justified his role as the street thug Raja. Rating: 3/5
