Here we have all the songs from the album:
Hawayein
Music: Pritam Chakraborty
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil
Singer: Arijit Singh
Album Released: July 2017
Music composer Pritam said in an interview, that he couldn’t believe this song would become so huge, this quick. This typical romantic number sung by Arijit Singh stands true to Arijit’s signature singing style. It’s a light, breezy, romantic track and quite similar to its name “Hawayein” it will make you want to flutter with the breeze. The song has already crossed the massive numbers just within a single day of its release. Presented by the Red chillies entertainment house and supported by the Sony Music India digital marketing team, this sweet song showing glimpses of the protagonists falling in love is supposedly the best song from this Imtiaz Ali directed movie.

Radha
Music: Pritam Chakraborty
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil
Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan, Shahid Mallya
Album Released: July 2017
Composed by our favourite Pritam and sung by the duo Shahid Mallya and Sunidhi Chauhan “Radha” is a peppy track from the “Harry met Sejal” album and was the first song to be released. The number of views outreached six million just within two days. Shahid and Imtiaz launched this song at an event in Ahmedabad where around seven thousand local women named Sejal had been invited. All in all this crazy number beginning with Shahrukh explaining to Anushka the reason behind Punjabi singers being so loud has become a favourite for many around the world simply because of the funky and traditional elements added to it.
Rating: 4/5
Safar
Music: Pritam Chakraborty
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil
Singer: Arijit Singh
Album Released: July 2017
“Safar” was the third song in line. We find Shahrukh quite enthusiastic about this song, as he himself tries singing it in the video, though the actual song has been sung by Arijit Singh. It is a song which is more about describing a journey that the character Harvinder undertakes in the movie. Pritam’s magical composition about a travellers journey turns out to be the most soulful song on the album. The lyrics begin with “Idhar ka hi hoon na udhar ka raha Safar ka hi tha main safar ka raha” convey the journey of a tourist guide in search of an engagement ring touring around Prague, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Budapest, and Punjab.
Rating: 3.5/5
Butterfly
Music: Pritam Chakraborty
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil
Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan, Nooran Sisters, Aman Trikha, Dev Negi
Album Released: July 2017
“Butterfly” is much similar to Imtiaz Ali’s best songs shot around the most scenic locales in India. In this song, he comes back to his favourite Punjab. Shot around the mustard fields of Punjab it somehow brings the DDLJ memories back to life. Anushka plays a Gujarati girl Sejal whereas Shahrukh plays a Sikh Punjabi Harvinder. The track and its video are overfilled with cartloads of liveliness and frolic. It truly showcases rural Punjab in its true colours. With the festivities, farming, dancing, and singing we get to witness the most bright side of Punjab. Rating: 4/5
Beech Beech Mein
Music: Pritam Chakraborty
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil
Singers: Arijit Singh, Shalmali Kholagade, Lady Bee, Shefali Alvares
Album Released: July 2017
“Beech beech mein Afsana tera mera chatkare wala beech beech mein” is a quintessential dance number you can tap your feet to. This uber cool song, as usual, has been composed by Pritam and sung by the master singer Arijit Singh along with Shalmali Kholgade and Shefali Alvares. Though many people feel this song doesn’t stand up as a true party anthem but it has received many positive reviews for Anushka and Sharukh’s sizzling chemistry and their astonishing performance in the club. It also has an electro funk mix version of it. Released just after the first song Radha, this track doesn’t stay behind in its popularity, the normal version is more popular than the electro funk mix one.
Rating: 3/5
Pritam as the composer for these songs hasn’t left us disappointed. We are loving the new wave carried in by these refreshing songs. Other than being a Shahrukh Khan movie the best part about “Jab Harry met Sejal” are these exhilarating songs which can totally lift up your mood and make you happier.
