How many of you are aware of the new Hindi adaptation of R.S Prasanna’s hilarious Tamil romantic comedy ‘Kalyaana Samyaal Saadham?’ The Hindi version has been renamed as ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhaan’ and will release on the 1st of September. Prasanna and Lekha Washington starred in the original movie whereas Ayushman Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar are to be seen starring in this remake. We get to witness all the merrymaking and celebrations around a grand South Indian wedding and the comedy arises out of Mudit’s serious psychological condition, as he is an anxiety stricken individual which leads to his erectile dysfunction. This extremely amusing movie would make you laugh so much that you’ll be left gasping for breath.

Now let us read about the well-received and equally entertaining songs from this movie.

Rocket Saiyyan

Rocket Saiyyan is a little high pitched, extremely funny, and a complete rib tickling track composed and written by Tanishk Bagchi, Vayu and sung by Ritu Pathak, Brijesh Shandilya, Tanishk Bagchi. The best thing about this song is the energetic and rhythmic beat, which can be heard in the background. The video produced by ‘Eros’ takes us through a fantastic ride around Mudit and Sugandha’s life. It received more than 3 million views just within two weeks of its release. Rating: 3/5

Kanha

This extremely saccharine song `Kanha released one whole week after Rocket Saiyyan and has by far been the most favourite melody. Shashaa Tirupati makes this song based on a semi-classical tune sound extremely sweet. The composition and lyrics credit once again go to the brilliant Tanishk Bagchi and Vayu. The lyrics talking about Lord Krishna would surely remind you of Baahubali 2’s ‘Kanha Soja Zara’ by Madhushree. In the video, they show the sweet moments between Ayushman and Bhumi from their courtship days. We also have an unplugged version of this song sung by Ayushman Khurana himself. Rating: 4/5

Laddoo

Laddoo is a delightful number. The composition by Tanishk Bagchi and Vayu is phenomenal and the lyrics are what makes it totally quirky. Mika Singh’s husky voice and the perfect pitching add up to all the charm. The two-minute track provides a funny take on disappointment and on dreams being shattered. We feel for Mudit’s condition and cannot stop laughing at the way his friends come up with innovative suggestions, or his father in law cracks a joke on him. Rating: 2/5

Well, these were the only three priceless songs from this movie. The tracks are innovative and quite different from the kind of songs we are used to, and most importantly these numbers completely justify the theme of the movie.
