Tera Fitoor
The lead actors Utkarsh Sharma and Ishitha Chauhan as newcomers feel privileged and honored to perform to the song with Himesh’s melodious composition and Arijit Singh’s soulful voice. A couple of day’s back Utkarsh Sharma tweeted that “when these two geniuses combine ‘Tera Fitoor’ is what you get!” The soulful song in Arijit’s voice goes perfectly well with the cute, mushy video. Dil Meri Na Sune
‘Dil Meri Na Sune, Dil Ki Mai Na Sunu’, heard this heartfelt song from ‘Genius’? This soft romantic number is another testimony of the heart taking over the mind. The simple and poetic lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir. (Rating: 4/5)
Tujhse Kahan Juda Hoon Main
Another Himesh Reshammiya composition from the movie which fails to make a mark. In spite of Neeti Mohan being a great singer, her singing isn’t of the topmost quality. Shabbir Ahmed’s lyrics are quite impressive and exudes the happy, feel-good vibes. Utkarsh Sharma and Ishita Chauhan’s acting is par excellence. (Rating: 2/5)
Holi Biraj Ma
Most of the Indians are anxiously waiting to swing, jive and dance their hearts out to this Holi song on Holi next year. Jubin Nautiyal rocks this song and adds the complete festive fervour to it with his magical voice. Manoj Muntashir’s lyrics add the Braj, Mathura flavour to the song as the lead hero is shown to belong to Mathura. (Rating: 3/5)
Pyar Le Pyar De
These days every quintessential Bollywood film comes with an item number or dance song set to the same mundane, boring pattern of music. Dev Negi, Ikka Singh (the rapper) and Iulia Vantur, the Romanian sensation who made her Bollywood debut with “Race 3” sang it. We get to see Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the baddie in this song. The video shows a blend of humour by Nawazuddin and a serious tiff in between the hero and the villain (Utkarsh and Nawazuddin). Utkarsh and Ishita slay with their awesome dance moves. (Rating: 1/5)
The movie didn’t receive too many positive reviews, but the rad, groovy music album with the picture-perfect videos are enough to make up for the not so successful film.
