John Abraham is back in form after a long time with the vigilante action film directed by Milap Zaveri called ‘Satyameva Jayate’. The story of the film revolves around the safety of Mumbai city, which has been assigned to a police department with roughly 200,000 officers, the majority of whom are corrupt. When four such police inspectors are burnt alive in a series of merciless killings, the entire police force is rocked with terror. The media is looking for answers. The public is on the fence over these killings. These crimes reflect upon Vir, a bold, calculating, and unapologetic vigilante. Fearing the next attack, the Commissioner calls upon DCP Shivansh, the most capable person to catch Vir. What follows is a confrontation of epic proportions which takes us through the corrupt underbelly of the Financial Capital.
The music album might not comprise of patriotic songs, but the songs topped the Billboard’s YouTube chart and are still top favourites. Let’s go through the GaanaP review for the songs.
Dilbar
Nadeem-Shravan’s original ‘Dilbar-Dilbar’, sung by Alka Yagnik, featured Sanjay Kapoor and Sushmita Sen. The latest version is Tanishk Bagchi’s new remix and it has done really well. Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanushali’s fantastic rendition is commendable, especially Neha’s voice adds all the fun to this dance number, even Ikka doesn’t disappoint with the rap part. Rating: 4/5
Paniyon Sa
A light-hearted romantic melody by Atif Aslam and Tulsi Kumar, ‘Paniyon Sa’ is the perfect getaway song which will help you drift away to an entirely different world in the middle of a busy day. So, listen to this song with the serene music by Rochak Kohli and dwell in the exquisite melody for some time. Rating: 5/5
Tajdar-E-Haram
This one’s the most intense track in the album, but it does get a bit morose after some time. Sajid-Wajid maintain the consistency with the music. Danish Sabri does put in elements of Urdu lyrics, but the majority of it is in Hindi so it doesn’t seem alien. The lyrics have a transcendental, spiritual aura and will make you feel good. Rating: 2/5
Tere Jaisa
Tere Jaisa spins off with a jugalbandi between Tulsi and the Shehnai. Tulsi’s honey-sweet voice and Arko’s talent in creating the beautiful music, the lyrics as well as singing the song is beyond comparison. The Shehnai not only brings alive the happy wedding mood but it also adds a devotional touch to the song. Rating: 5/5
