1. Alia Bhatt
This Bollywood diva launched herself into the singing world with A.R. Rehman’s composition for ‘Highway’. The song ‘Sooha Sooha’ was quite well acclaimed, after which she got to singing the acoustic version of ‘Samjhawan’ for the movie ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya’. Samjhawan didn’t put a break to her passion for singing. In 2016 she sang a different version of the song “Ik Kudi” for the soundtrack of Udta Punjab with her co-singer Dosanjh.
2. Farhan Akhtar
Beyond Doubt, one of the most proficient and skilled filmmakers, actor cum chart-topping singer of Bollywood is (drum roll) Farhan Akhtar. He starred in both parts of the musical superstar movie ‘Rock On’ and sang some very catchy, peppy numbers like “Jaago” and “You know what I mean”. Other than these his singing and recitation skills have been proved in the movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with “Senorita” and “Toh Zinda Ho Tum”. So Farhan, as we know him, is our super talented multi-faceted star.
3. Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor has received some professional music training from her aunt and is presently the most melodious singing star in Bolly-town. She’s also the only actress known to have sung for her record-breaking debut movie Aashiqui 2, where she herself played the part of an aspiring singer. Her next singing venture “Teri Galliyan” from the movie “Ek Villain” actually proved what an adept singer she is. She has sung in quite a few blockbuster movies including Haider, Rock On 2, and Baaghi. She has also shown her singing talent at promotional events and glitzy shows.

Sonakshi is the brave-hearted starlet who doesn’t shy away from trying her hand at all sorts of new things. Initially, she just sang a single line in the song “Let’s Celebrate” from the film “Tevar” but then she launched herself into the singing sphere with the single ‘Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai’ in collaboration with Meet Brothers in 2015. Later, she got opportunities to sing ‘Rajh Rajh’ from “Akira” and “Move Your Lakh” from her movie “Noor”.
5. Salman Khan
The King of B-town isn’t far behind when it comes to showing some singing skills. His first singing spree began with the songs ‘Chandi ki daal par’ and ‘Sone ka mor’, after which he sang some catchy numbers for his movie Kick and became quite renowned for his singing talent, then he received an opportunity to sing a promotional track for Nikhil Advani’s remake of the movie ‘Hero’ introducing newcomers Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. He personally groomed Sooraj pancholi and was very happy to contribute to singing the amazing song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’.
6. Hrithik Roshan
Though Hrithik Roshan doesn’t have an extensive record of singing for movies and usually sticks to being an acting star, he showcased his hidden talents in the field of singing with the beautiful composition ‘Senorita’ a Spanish traditional Flamenco dance number comprising of both Spanish and English lyrics in the movie ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Thus we see that Greek Gods like Hrithik aren’t any far away when it comes to singing.
7. Aamir Khan
The actor with a wide record of acting in cult films, creates magic with everything that he puts his hands into. The song ‘Aati Kya Khandala’ from ‘Ghulam’ was his first experience of singing as a movie star succeeding which he sang ‘Bum Bum Bole’ in ‘Taare Zameen Par’. His latest singing achievement could be seen with the rap version of ‘Dhakad’ a song on women empowerment from his box office record-breaking movie ‘Dangal’.
8. Amitabh Bacchan
A veteran acting star and singer loved by generations of movie buffs and cinema crazy people has been crooning melodies for almost more than 20 years now. Having sung in movies like Baghban, Silsila, Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham he is already an acting cum singing sensation. Some of his groundbreaking numbers were ‘BolBachchan’, ‘Paa’, ‘Shaava Shaava’ and ‘Khabhi Khabhi Mere Dil Mein’ which stand as proof of his masterly singing skills, but his performance of ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ from (Kahaani 2012) is considered to be his best rendition till date.
9. Priyanka Chopra
Acting queen Priyanka Chopra has made it quite big on the silver screen starring in Bollywood as well as Hollywood movies. Piggy Chop’s first recording spree started with the song ‘Ullathai Killathe’ in the 2002 Tamil film ‘Thamizha’ and her Bollywood debut song was ‘Chaoro’ a lullaby from ‘Mary Kom’. Later she made one more contribution to Bollywood in a duet with Farhan Akhtar for ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. She was awarded, the People’s Choice Award (in Best International Debut category) for her first International Single launched in 2012 called ‘My City’. After the massive achievement she brought out her next single ‘Exotic’ in 2013 featuring Pitbull and then her most recent work a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s, ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ got released in 2014.
10. Madhuri Dixit
A dancing dream, she doesn’t lag behind in singing. Her first attempt was the song ‘Kahe Ched’ from the phenomenal movie Devdas along with top notch singer Kavitha Krishnamurthy. She was back with a bang to the music scenario in the year 2014 as she sang a ‘Kajri’ or a folk melody called ‘Rang Sari Gulabi Chunariya’ for her movie ‘Gulaab Gang’, assisted by her own mother ‘Snehlata Dixit’.
