We have been hating Mondays since the time we were little kids studying in school. All through our growing up years and even after turning into an adult we still cringe and feel sad & gloomy at the thought of an approaching Monday. Just thinking of having to go to school, college or work on a Monday after such a good and lazy weekend and having to handle all the pressures of the entire week spoils our good mood.
So here we have a few songs for you all which would actually lift up your mood and make you feel happy and energetic on a Monday morning.
Give Me Some Sunshine
Music: Shantanu Moitra
Lyrics: Swanand Kirkire
Singers: Sharman Joshi, Suraj Jagan
The song “Give Me Some Sunshine, Give Me Some Rain, Give Me Another Chance I Wanna Grow Up Once Again” would motivate you and make you more confident in life. It is from the massive hit movie “3 Idiots” released in the year 2009 which focuses on the themes of friendship and the pressures of the Asian education system. Sharman Joshi’s role in the film was impressive and he won many awards for it, but his first attempt at playback singing for this song made him win love and appreciation.
Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya
Music: Jaidev Kumar
Lyrics: Sahir Ludhianvi
Singers: Mohammad Rafi
‘Mai Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya, Har Fikr Ko Dhuyein Mein Udata Chala Gaya’ Ahh! What a beautiful melody, such songs can rarely be heard in Bollywood these days. This track is originally from the 1961 film “Hum Dono” produced by Dev Anand and Navketan Films starring Dev Anand and Nanda. The charismatic Dev Anand stuns us in his soldier costume as he is seen hovering around beautiful valleys and hills singing this mellifluous song.
Aashiyan
Music: Pritam Chakraborty

This otherworldly song with a beautiful charm of its own starts with an accordion solo before the hand drums join in. Shreya Ghosal sang this saccharine melody for the 2012 blockbuster film “Barfi” directed by Anurag Basu. Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s cute antics around the lush green hills of Darjeeling will soothe your eyes and make you happy.

This all-time favourite Bollywood song had been first sung for the 1978 superhit Bollywood action film ‘Don’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, Pran, Iftekhar and Helen. Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor played the lead roles in the film and in this particular Bollywood song video you would get to see Tigers fabulous dance moves in different costumes synchronising with that of Shraddha. The way Shraddha matched up to Tiger’s steps is worth plenty of accolades. This track can actually setup the mood for any party and I’m sure that you’ll love dancing to it.

This heavenly song is from the 1959 Bollywood film “Anari” directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Raj Kapoor, Nutan, Motilal and Lalita Pawar play the lead roles in the film and Raj Kapoor’s acting specifically for this particular track is exquisite and enchanting. You just don’t get to listen to songs like these in today’s Bollywood movies. “Kisiki Muskuraahaton Pe Ho Nisaar, Kisika Dard Mil Sake To Le Udhaar, Kisike Waaste Ho Tere Dil Mein Pyaar, Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai” is an evergreen classic melody and songs like it still delight us.
