The ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan’ music video released by T-Series is a colourful and radiant feast for the eyes. The exquisite imagery along with the perfect melody is just what we were expecting. Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s look absolutely justify their roles as Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh and Maharani Padmini of Chittor.

The costumes, jewellery, palace interiors etc look gorgeous and have been created keeping in mind plenty of minute intricacies followed by the ruling Rajput communities of the Chittorgarh area.

Even some of the customs and traditions like Padmini taking the red handprints of Rawal Ratan before he gets ready for war or Padmini applying the Gulal on his feet, stitching his turban, dressing him up for war and doing the aarti are very beautifully presented. You people would surely appreciate the magical chemistry between the two. Every move of Deepika and Shahid speak volumes about their strong relationship.

A Master Creation

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has a penchant for the Hindustani Classical Raaga ‘Yaman’ and most of the time ends up composing songs set to this delightful raaga like ‘Ayat’ & ‘Laal Ishq’ from ‘BajiRao Mastani’ and now ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan’. This soothing track starts off quite slow, but the pitch tends to keep increasing as we reach ‘Ishq Bhi Tu Mera Pyar Bhi Tu’. Mujtaba Aziz Naza the Qawwali singer, who’s also a famous playback singer has assisted Shivam Pathak with the vocals and has done quite a great job at it.
